Research

The primary research inspiration was based on the beautiful design of the Google Tilt Brush and the Japan Airlines HoloLens Experience. As our prototype evolved, the team researched other navigation opportunities in 3D Modeling software such as Maya and SolidWorks. Consequently, one of functionalities, the “NavTree,” resembles the SolidWorks tree map navigation. As for our second option, the team went beyond software and discovered the interconnectivity of the Lego toys to be a true inspiration for the “explosion mode” of ExploSphere.
